I started playing the violin when I was six, at first just because my mom suggested it, but I later found it interesting. I stuck with it, and it became a hobby. I also played the violin in my school orchestra. I even got into middle school because of my violin skills and became one of the founding members of the school's string orchestra.
An interesting experience I had was participating in a charity organization's anniversary two years ago, where I played the violin for children with rare diseases and their parents. I realized that I did not have enough time to practice a new piece. So, I came up with the idea of not letting the audience focus on my imperfect performance, but rather on my actions.
I put a paper bag on my head and had someone hold the score for me (a "biological music stand"). I made random mistakes in the piece and blamed my "music stand" for "not turning the pages correctly." It worked; everyone laughed. It seems like it was my happiest performance ever.
